Friends,
Admit it…you’ve been planning this for a while now (or, in case you haven’t checked the calendar lately) (www.lookingglassriverfriends.org) Saturday is the FRIENDS of the Looking Glass annual fall canoe/kayak trip.  Be at Babcock Landing — on Babcock Lake Rd @ the LGR bridge (north of East Lansing, East of DeWitt) ready to go @ 10AM.  Have your car spotted at DeWitt’s Riverside or RiverTrail parks.  Trip duration is 3.5 hours give or take, to DeWitt.  Bring a shore lunch and take it leisurely if you like, and bring a plastic bag to bring out your trash and whatever you find along the way (there will be darned little).  This will be a glorious color and wildlife tour of the neatest canoeing river and watershed in lower MI.   Open to the public, rookies and pros alike.  Free of charge, no stamps, coins or Disney coupons. BYOF&D. No squatting on the poison ivy – a candidate for the state’s new designated flower.  Sarah Palin look-alike Gloria Miller is organizing.  ph: 626-6625 or  glormil727@aol.com  for questions or hot ideas.
