Grand River: McNamara’s to Grand River Park [RELOCATED]

Grand River: McNamara’s to Grand River Park
Sunday, April 28, 9 a.m.

We’ll meet at McNamara Landing on Columbia Road near the corner of Waverly Road on Sunday, April 28, at 9:00 a.m. After running shuttle, we’ll paddle down to the takeout at Grand River Park near the Michigan Princess riverboat. This is a recreational trip of about 15 miles and will take about 6 hours with a break in Dimondale to eat and stretch. Bring a lunch/water/snacks and a change of dry clothes in a dry bag. Expect any possible kind of weather at this time of year and dress accordingly! There are no portages on this trip. Life jacket must be worn and fastened while on the water, and a trip waiver must be signed if you haven’t signed one for 2013.

4-21-13: I just moved the location of this trip due to my concerns about the Bunker Road bridge north of Eaton Rapids at the current high water levels. The McNamara’s to Grand River Park stretch is safer, and we’ll enjoy having the extra push of high water to shorten the trip! Email me if you have any questions.
