32nd Annual Au Sable River Overnight (ASRO)

We will be congregating on the Au Sable River the weekend of February 23 at 8:30 am by meeting at the Big Boy Restaurant in Grayling on that Saturday morning. After breakfast we will go to the Old Au Sable Fly Shop on the Au Sable River (formerly Ray’s Canoe) to unload boats. We will then run shuttle down to Parmalee Bridge and launch about 11:30 am. We will camp overnight at White Pine State Forest Campground with no road support so everything must be carried down the river. This is a winter condition paddling and camping trip with below freezing temperatures so appropriate clothing and gear is mandatory. This is NOT a trip for beginners or children. Hypothermia can kill if not properly guarded against. As always wearing a Life Jacket is required while on the river and a Liability waiver must be signed if you are not a currently paid Club member.
