June 4-6 Paddle to Hell and Back with Charlie Parmalee.
July 3-5 Ottawa River and maybe others in vicinity (Madawaska, etc.), Ontario. Class III whitewater. The Ottawa is tons of fun. Contact/organizers: Todd Leigh and Linda Savage
July 17 – 20 Grand River Expedition 2010 – Eaton Rapids to Lyons
July 24-25. Middle Island, Lake Huron. Paddle to Middle Island (sea kayak with sealed bulkhead, ~3 mile crossing), or have your smaller kayak transported to the island. Stay in the restored Keepers’ quarters, complete with kitchen, plus lighthouse tour. Cost $~50. Contact/organizers: Todd Leigh and Linda Savage
July 31 – Aug. 4. South shore Lake Superior, Grand Marais to Tahquamenon River mouth. Wilderness and campground camping. Need a kayak with sealed bulkheads and a willingness to paddle 10-15 miles a day in some wind and waves up to 2 feet if necessary. Contact/organizers: Todd Leigh and Linda Savage
August 6 – 8. Bruce Peninsula National Park, Ontario. Camping at Cypress Lake campground and day paddles TBD depending on weather. For paddlers with any type of boat and any experience. Cliffs, sea caves, lighthouses – the Bruce Peninsula is spectacular! Those interested need to make campground reservations soon, this park is filling up fast. August 14-15 Yough whitewater trip (we can coordinate this trip instead of Jay on these dates). Class III whitewater. Camp at Ohiopyle State Park. Contact/organizers: Todd Leigh and Linda Savage.
Aug 28 – 29 11th Annual Family Canoe Trip – Manistee River. Camping at CCC Bridge Campground west of Grayling off M-72. M-72 access to CCC Bridge on Saturday, and CCC Bridge to Smithville Landing on Sunday. Jay Hanks.
Sept. 11-19. French River wilderness trip, French River Provincial Park, Ontario. Contact/organizers: Todd Leigh and Linda Savage, email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org. Multi-day wilderness camping with some easy rapids (likely some portages or lining due to low water). Best for canoes but other craft possible. Contact/organizers: Todd Leigh and Linda Savage.
