“Paddling in the Florida Everglades” Slide Show March 18

Loretta Crum will show slides from the 2004 kayak and canoe trip in the Florida Everglades on March 18, 2008, 7 p.m. at Summit Sports in East Lansing. If you’ve been thinking about doing this trip yourself (or if you just need some images of sunshine and warm temperatures), be sure to attend. All are welcome.

“Winter Paddling Skills”

There will be a presentation on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at Summit Sports on “Winter Paddling Skills”. Jay Hanks will be presenting this program, with a brief slide show on winter paddling, and the bulk of the presentation about how to reduce the risks of hypothermia while cold-water paddling.

Summit Sports is located on the corner of Grand River Blvd. and Park Lake Rd. This would be a good show to attend if you were planning on making the 27th Annual Au Sable River Overnight on February 23-24, 2008.

“Kayaking in the Galapagos Islands”

“Kayaking in the Galapagos Islands” will be presented by Tom Conner and Connie Page at SUMMIT SPORTS on January 15, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Summit Sports is located in East Lansing at the corner of Grand River Blvd. and Park Lake Rd. Seating capacity is about 30 people so be on time to be sure to get a good seat for this glimpse into the Galapagos Islands as seen from a kayak.
