The 6th Annual Big South Branch of the Pere Marquette River Overnight will be on Saturday and Sunday, March 17 and 18, 2012. We will meet at 9:00 am at the Custer Road Bridge parking lot at the mainstream of the Pere Marquette River on Saturday, March 17 about 1 mile south of Custer and US-10. From there we will run shuttle to the take-out and put-in before proceeding downstream.
Day trips are welcome and we can drop off vehicles while running shuttle for the overnight.
Please be prepared for paddling and overnight camping in potentially cold weather. There is also a lot of portaging involved around downed trees that we have no way of knowing about in advance. Good weather is always appreciated, but good gear when the weather is bad is appreciated even more.
This is a self-guided trip and all participants are expected to provide all of their own gear and be prepared to take care of themselves at all times.
